Ground Collective was set up in 2014 by Matthew Swift he has curated a series of exhibitions over the years including a week’s residency ‘Incubator of Ideas’ at APT Gallery (October 2020, during the pandemic) and consequently ‘Ground Work’, also at APT Gallery (October 2021).

Ground Collective is back at it with an exhibition on the coast this time. Ground Collective's interest lies in finding objects and making observations from everyday landscapes traveled through, reconfiguring these discoveries into artworks, performances, poems and installations. They celebrate a slowing down and a closer scrutiny of things that are overlooked or forgotten.
